IMPACT RESULTS – JULY 16, 2004
TRIPLE X (DANIELS AND PRIMETIME) VS. TEAM JAPAN (NOSAWA AND MIYAMOTO)
In an international X style tag team match, Triple X got a preview of their Wednesday night contender’s match against Team Mexico on Impact, taking on Team Japan’s Nosawa and Miyamoto. During the bout, Miyamoto accidentally blinded partner Nosawa with the green mist, missing his intended target of Primetime. With Nosawa out of the bout, Triple X took advantage and hit their “Powerplex” finisher for the win. Triple X moves on to face Mr. Aguila and Abismo Negro this Wednesday night live on TNA Pay-Per-View to determine the new number one contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Title!
SABU VS. ALASTAIR RALPHS
The homicidal, suicidal, genocidal TNA superstar Sabu was in action on Impact as he prepares for his No Disqualification Match this Wednesday on Pay-Per-View against the monster Abyss and a potential clash with Raven. After using his signature steel chair, Sabu was able to get the win over Alastair Ralphs with a moonsault.
“BABY BEAR” ALEX SHELLEY w/ Goldylocks and Abyss VS. RODERICK STRONG
Goldylocks’ purchased talent – “Baby Bear” Shelley – got his chance to shine on Impact, facing the equally impressive Roderick Strong. With Goldy and the monster Abyss watching on at ringside, “Baby Bear” used his X style expertise to finish off Strong with a brainbuster variation. Following the bout, Goldy and Shelley left hand in hand with the monster Abyss watching on in the ring.

AMERICA’S MOST WANTED (HARRIS AND STORM) VS. MICHAEL SHANE AND KAZARIAN w/ Traci
The main event on Impact featured AMW against Shane and Kazarian, as both teams gear up for individual Tag Team and X Division Title shots. In this back and forth contest, both teams fought it out until the time limit with no clear winner. As a result, Impact judge “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes rendered his decision that Harris and Storm won the bout! Following the contest, The Naturals hit the ring to assault AMW, leading to Triple X coming out to assist the former champs as Impact went off the air!
