Mystery Champion

Rey Mesterio has World heavyweight champion would have mystified many, eventhough no body would have predicted him to win the Royal Rumble but few doubted that when became the champ in Wrestle Mania history.

He might hold the dubious record of Heavyweight champion with most non-title defeats.
Most of the matches he started as Underdog and ended up losing, for instances matches against Mark Henry, The Great Khali, Kane & Finlay.
He does have the talent but does he really deserve to hold the title with these amounts of humiliating defeats.
Making Mesterio a champ would have been purely on commercial reasons so that they can pull back interest on Kids to follow WWE.
It would be really funny if WWE revert him back to cruiser weight championship if he looses his current belt.
He is already the 1st guy to win the Cruiser weight & Heavyweight title together , will he also become the first heavy weight champion to win back Cruiser weight championship as to be seen.
No body in history of WWE ever held crusier weight & heavy weight title at the same time, Rey has a chance to accomplish it, it has to be seen whether that comes true.

In any case Mesterio is the most mysterious champ WWE has made in their history.

the main reason he got the belt was due to Eddie G. sympathy. I cannot see Rey as the heavyweight champion. Sure, the guy is talented....but for the World Title? The same belt that was held by Ric Flair? Sting? Dusty Rhodes?

There was a time when being the World Champions actually MEANT something. Anymore, the World Title is just something to toss around every couple of weeks.

Oh...another World Champion that needs to be listed as holding that prestigious belt: David Arquette.

Yeah...Rey as World Champion, holding that belt, may actually be better than some of the former champions....

Its good to see Rey getting honoured but it has come in the expense of the pride of championship.

The holder of the wwe world title is now King Booger (or booger t )
It was won by him because chavo back stabbed rey mysterio and betrayed him by hitting him with a steel chair

Rey rocks!!! He fought hard for that belt. The fights after were lost because of missed-matched circumstances (the great Khali?), and because of his jealous enemies that would be put in jail...in the real world ...for the things they did to Rey. I hope he does re-win the Cruiser Title and bring his much-needed CLASS to that to level again.
